Cliff Gazing
Jedediah Island, BC
24 x 24 in.
Oil on
canvas

Paddling along the rocky shore is often like passing through an art gallery - compositions of water stains, lichens, plants and marine creatures. If you are lucky you might spot some of the indigenous petroglyphs – mysterious and fascinating suggestions of images from the distant past. This canvas of visual richness often pauses our paddles as we study all the rich imagery in its many forms.

“She loves the serene brutality of the ocean, loves the electric power she felt with each breath of wet, briny air.”
~ Holly Black
