"There is a direct connection between the eyes and the heart - and that is through the hands."

Playing with form, function and colour in clay takes me in a different, but parallel, direction than my paintings do. It is a fascinating challenge to make something beautiful and functional. The sense of movement and light that intrigues me when I paint water finds a new means of expression in ceramics.
