The Government Dock
Quadra Island, BC
24 x 24 in.
Oil on canvas

This wharf is a five minute walk from my studio. I love how the red railings are reflected and diluted to pink in the water. The lines of boats are a great subject to paint, but this time I concentrated on the ramp and left the most of the boats to be suggested by the vertical masts peeking above it.
