Reflection - Top of the World
Top of the World Park, BC
31.5 x 51 in
Oil on canvas

A backpacking trip into Top of the World Park gave us a chance to hike up to a pair of beautiful lakes near the top of a pass. A gorgeous day, a complete sense of wilderness (we saw a wolf with 2 cups) and beautiful colours reflected in one of the lakes – who could ask for more!!

“The lakes are something which you are unprepared for; they lie up so high, exposed to the

light, and the forest is diminished to a fine fringe on their edges, with here and there a blue

mountain, like amethyst jewels set around some jewel of the first water.”

- Henry David Thoreau
